This Star Won’t Go Out is a non-profit foundation serving families with children diagnosed with life-threatening cancer. Often families must choose to cut back on work in order to care for their child. Bills can become another stresser when families are already overwhelmed by fears for their child’s health. Based on available funds, TSWGO plans to assist several families annually with financial gifts that can be used for medical expenses, items needed by the child with cancer, or personal expenses due to the financial strain of caring for a child with cancer.
Referrals can be made by the family, friend, or a health care professional by email or letter. The Board will make decisions about financial gifts on an individual basis, based on referrals, available funds, and interviews with the family and a health care professional.
